Tried Moddok Crevice HD (accept the captain's help) with 55 Mo/D today and it works very well and very easy too.. Gold armors and weapons drop (all non-max) but no colossal yet.

Thanks for the suggestion though, i'm still working on it so every hint is welcome. Currently i'm trying to test how low I can go with the enchantments before the build crumbles and if some of the Dervish Enchantments can make a dent.

Yes I always decline and just kill the warriors, but when I used to do normal i would go kill all of the rangers.... though they never dropped any scimitars so I just forget them now.

Got this last night in about an hour of farming max dmg and gold.... this was an awesome sign cause now I actually believe that colossals will drop here.

now excuse me I have to cancel my bids on that perfect tattooed scimitar X_X

doesnt seem like gold from the screenie, at least on my pc :P

i was just thinking about whether to share this info, but might aswell since i kinda gave it away in another thread and i finally got what i wanted. basically i was right about my new farm spot which is right outside The Astralarium. there is a group of corsairs there which are easier to kill than those in moddok and you usually get a gold drop a run. ive gotten a few rares from it myself like tribal shield and istani shield, and usually get a few of the different scimitar types.

anyway i shared my build with guildies YESTERDAY (and on the other thread), and today 1 guildie got a max req9 colossal

this guildie isn't even experienced at farming but was doing it for the gold drops. however she doesn't know exactly which corsair dropped it (she was gonna merch it at first, nuff said). i ended up buying it off her cheaper so im very happy today

you can always alternate moddok and astralarium, since both runs are quick. here's the monk build i use again which works in both places:

soj, soa, ps, mystic regeneration, mending, watchful spirit, blessed aura, balths spirit
15 smiting, 11 prot, 13 divine fav, 5 healing, 4 earth

all thats left now is to farm my own colossal lol, goodluck all

A "perfect" colossal scimitar is worth a lot. Think along the reagions of 1.400 platin, that is why many search for it. A good tatooed scimitar is still worth roughly 300 platin, and still worth the effort.

And yes I do have a cult of scimitars i guess.... I dunno why but there my favorite swords :P I almost have like every other rare sword skin besides a colossal, so i'm kinda a collector :P

with the corsairs in The Astralarium i dnt rekon there easier since there is a necro there with reapers so that + burning makes it a bit hard to survive..

btw i am also a rare weapons collector, have wanted this one for a long time!

bodyboarder -> its easier for me using my monk build at least because there's no interrupts

kumarshah -> take the west exit from the outpost, when you are outside head south. you will aggro a group of termites and after that there are a bunch of corsairs

Only Captain Bohseda can interrupt you and only with Disrupting Throw which has a pretty long recharge as well. So whenever you engage combat, keep an eye on Bohseda (best to target him and cast critical spells right after his throw). Something funny i've noticed:
I switched to monk for a change of pace on farming... interestingly enough the loot downright sucked. Most likely coincidence but during the 30 minutes I was farming I got not a single gold item. Switched back to ele, back in business. Heh.

ahhh thx for the info i wont be able to solo that then since only my war has finished NF

But my Question is to the People that have gotten Colossal Drops in Moddok is How many Heroes/Henchies were in your party?

I got my Gold tattooed while having 4 heroes, but normally I've just been doing it with me and dunkaroooooo

I've got a theory now... since everytime I kill a multitude of enemies at the same time they do not drop anything but if they die one after another, they drop a lot more. Geez i'm starting to be paranoid here :X
